Hi!

Experience and Education

I spent most of my middle school and high school years learning computer science and originally came into UC Irvine majoring in software engineering however, I soon realized I could not imagine a future where I was not working in the arts. I am now pursuing a double major in Drama and Mechanical Engineering. I use the problem solving skills that I learned in computer science daily to solve unique theatrical problems, although I still dabble in programming from time to time (this entire website was programmed by hand using React and AWS). What is a Narrative Engineer?

Entirely made up. I chose the job title of Narrative Engineer because I felt it captured my approach and skillset towards theatre well. I do not feel like I can label myself as a scenic designer or technician or actor because I am constantly thinking as all three regardless of what I am doing. None of my work exists in a vacuum, so calling myself a Narrative Engineer felt like the most honest way to represent myself. I am a storyteller but also an engineer. Any other way to describe myself does not tell the full story.
